MAORI CONVICTED
One charge of indecent assault, and three of unlawful carnal knowledge of a girl l.'U years old wero brought against Mihalca Epcro, labourer, aged 43, in the Supreme Court yesterday. Tlio' trial was conducted by Mr. Justice Fair, and Mr. Vialoux had" been assigned to the defence by tho Crown. After a retirement of over two hours the jury brought in a verdict of guilty on all counts, and accused was ror manded for sentenco.
