Mr. Ewen is managing-director of Sargood, Son and Ewen, Limited, and among his many activities he is president of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, Wellington, and district governor (for tho second time) of Notary for New Zealand. Ho is an exmember of the executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce. Colonel Falla is commandant of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force overseas base. Hisr absence from New Zealand is for an indefinite period and he has deemed it advisable to resign Lis Beat on the society's directorate.
