COLONEL FALLA'S SUCCESSOR POST F;OR MR. D. A. EWEN [bv TELEGRAPH —(HV.V correspondent] WELLINGTON, Friday The Australian Mutual Provident Society announces the appointment of llr. D. A. Ewen to the Now Zealand local board /to fill the vacancy caused by tho resignation of Colonel N. S. Falla.
Mr. Ewen is managing-director of Sargood, Son and Ewen, Limited, and among his many activities he is president of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts, Wellington, and district governor (for tho second time) of Notary for New Zealand. Ho is an exmember of the executive of the Associated Chambers of Commerce. Colonel Falla is commandant of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force overseas base. Hisr absence from New Zealand is for an indefinite period and he has deemed it advisable to resign Lis Beat on the society's directorate.
