SCIENCE CONGRESS

VENUE IN ADELAIDE: The 1940 Science Congress is to be held in Adelaide from August 14 to 21, according to advice received from Mr. Gilbert Archev, honorary secretary for New Zealand of the Australian and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science. The decision to hold the congress in Adelaide is in accordance with the desire of responsible officers of the association in all the States but one, The president-elect is Dr. P. Marshall, of Wellington. Social functions will be reduced and matters for discussion will be directed in considerable measure toward war-time problems and associated subjects.
