LIGHT-HEARTED CROWDS END OF EASTER HOLIDAYS (Received March ,27, 0.25 p.m.) LONDON, March 26 Citizens of London resumed their •erious wartime mood this morning after amazing /scenes in the streets last n| ght. It was generally anticipated that full advantage would bo taken of the Easter holidays—the first break after a specially trying winter —but the light■nearterl mood in which war cares wero temporarily forgotten last night was Unexpected. ihe Daily Telegraph, in describing the scenes in the West End over the Easter holidays, says: "Crowds of pcoplo defying the black-out and war anxieties thronged the streets until a late hour. The scenes recalled those of the night after the University boat race or the football cup final. Theatres, c "n'ni;ts and resjaurants were besieged ai 'd did the biggest business recorded many years."
