PIONEER'S RECORD

90 YEARS IN SAME HOUSE [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] MAELBOROUGri, Tuesday To have lived for 90 years at the one place is the remarkable record of Mr. Charles Frederick Thompson, of Grovetown, near Blenheim, who celebrated his 93x*d birthday to-day. Mr. Thompson's father arrived from England more than 100 years ago, and in 1850 settled in Grovetown, where a home was built from pit-sawn timber. Mr. Thompson is still living in this home. In spite of his advanced age he still enjoys good health. He retired from his trade as a wheelwright only 10 years ago.
