OBITUARY
MR. THOMAS ADAMS TOWN PLANNING EXPERT (Received March 26, 5.5 p.m.) Brilish Wireless I/ONDON, March 25 The death is announced of Mr. Thomas Adams, an authority on town planning. Mr'. Adams, who was horn in September, 1871, was a well known architect and town planning consultant. He was secretary of the Garden City Association 1900-06, town planning inspector to the Local Government Board, 1909-14; founder and first president of the Town Planning Institute, 191415; town planning adviser to the Canadian Government, 1914-21; director of the regional plan of New York, 1923-30; president of the Institute of Landscape Architects, 1937-39. Since 1936 he had acted as consultant to various town planning authorities.
