CANADIAN ELECTION

♦ SMALL POLL EXPECTED OTTAWA. March 20 Jn nil parts of Canada to-day voters are making their way over the snow to poll in the general election. The Prime Minister, Mr. Mackenzie King, in a radio broadcast last night, asked that the Government be returned in order that it may see the war through to the end. The Conservative leader, Dr. Manion, has promised, if returned, to place the best brains in charge of the country's Government. Although just over 6,500,000 persons are entitled to vote, the poll, owing to the weather and apathy, is expected to be a small one.
