CAR STRUCK BY TRAIN

MOTORISTS ESCAPE INJURY [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday Two Auckland residents had a fortunate escape from injury when their motor-car was struck by the engine of a goods train at the Seddon Road level crossing yesterday afternoon. Neither the driver of the car, Mr. Godfrey Ohms, of 18 Tole Street, Ponsonby, nor his wife, who was a passenger, was hurt. The engine struck the front part of the car, pushing it off the crossing and damaging it extensively.
