Winds. —Variable at first in the North Island, but southerly to westerly directions gradually becoming general, mainly moderate in force, but freshening at times. Seas. —New Zealand waters: Seas :rough< about Cook Strait and rather "rough on parts of the South Island 'coast, hut decreasing later; otherwise ' slight- or moderate. Eastern Tasman 'Sea: Moderate to fresh winds from a 'southerly quarter and moderate seas. Weather. —Changeable, with showers probable in most districts, but improving'from the south.
