The weather was showery for the semi-finals this morning, but the afternoon, when the final was played, was fine. li. S. Aikcr, I'. K. Forster (substitute for 11. Judge), U. I'. Bond and W. R. Hawkins (Frankton) defeated R. Guy, B. Greenough, W. J. 2sorth and T. AV. Gee (Te Awaniutu), after a closely-contested ■ game by 21 points to TJ. T: B. Booth, F. C. House, V. R. Crowhurst and C. Davis (Whitiora) accounted for E. J. Wat tins, J. Sing. F. R. Booth and J. Morris (Whitiora) by 10 points to 18. A large gallery witnessed t lie final between tlie rinks skipped by Hawkins and Davis. On the loth head, the score was S-all Hawkins then scored a four, and Crowhurst trailed the jack, which rested in a nest, of Frankton's bowls. Davis failed to save and Hawkins added six to his account, giving the Frankton rink a lead of 10 on the fJth head. Hawkins continued to hold the lead, and the game finished 2(1---'12. in the Frankton team's favour. Hawkins rink won the same tourney last year.
