NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL

OPENING OF HALL AVONDALE PRESBYTERIANS A Sunday school hall in wood, erected to meet the needs of the Avondale charge, was opened and dedicated yesterday afternoon, in the presence of a large gathering, by the Moderator of the Presbyterian General Assembly, the Rt. Rev. .J. Lawson Robinson, of Christeliurcli. The Moderator .of the Auckland Presbytery, the Rev. P. Gladstone Hughes, presided and conducted the service. Mr. Robinson was presented with a key by the builder, Mr. G. H. .Bird, a member of the congregation. and gave an appropriate address on the duties and privileges of parents and children. In the course of the service a solo was sung by Miss Jean McGregor. The building, which stands near the church, is capable of seating about 200 people. It is provided with a stage and kitchen, and contains rooms for Sunday school classes.
