Wyles, signal and electrical engineer for the Railways Department, left for Wellington last night. Mr. W. H. Nagle, chairman of the Auckland Transport Board, returned from Wellington by the limited express yesterday. Mr. Justice Blair left last night by the limited express for Wellington to attend a sitting of the Court of Appeal on Monday. Mr. P. R. Angus, locomotive engineer for the Railways Department, was. a passenger by the limited express for Wellington last night. The Rev. H. White, -Methodist minister of the Carterton district, has been appointed to the Tauranga circuit. His place will be taken by the Rev. J. A. Dalgleish, of Milton. Mr. H. M. Rushworth, Auckland provincial president of the New Zealand Farmers' Union, visited Hamilton yesterday for ,a meeting of the Waikato sub-provincial executive. Mr. K. C. Aekins, chairman of the Auckland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, returned from | Wellington yesterday after attending the Dominion conference of Animal 1 Welfare Societies. Mr. W. W. Mulholland, Dominion ! president of the New Zealand Farmers' | Union, arrived in Hamilton yesterday. ' After attending -a meeting of the Waikato sub-provincial executive of the Farmers' • Union, he left for Te Awamutu. He will come to Auckland to-day.
