MORRINSVJL.LE VALUES LARGE ENTRY OF CATTLE STEADY RATES FOR SHEEP [FIIOJI OUJt OWN correspondent] MOKRIXSVILLE, Friday A further large yarding of store sheep from East Coast. King Country and southern districts came forward at the Morrinsvillo stock sale to-day. Coinpetition for aged ewes was keen, but two-tooths wore dull of sale. Late rates were maintained for a medium entry of fat sheep.

Store cattle from southern districts came forward in large numbers. Grown steers sold freely, but smaller lines were not so keenly sought. Polled Angus and Hereford heifers and young cows met with keen competition, but young heifers were dull of sale. Competition for primo baconers and porkers was keen and values wero slightly in advance of last week's sale. There was a keen demand for choppers and store and weaner pigs. MARKET AT PUKEKOHE [fiiom our own correspondent] PUKEKORE, Friday Cattle came forward in large numbers at the weekly stock sale at Pukekohc, conducted by the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited. There was a large attendance of buyers in the cattle section, and they were mainly interested in the special iinc of advertised in-calf heifers, which sold as follows: —Best Jerseys. £G to £7 15s; smaller. £5 7s (id to £0 15s; best Shorthorns, £0 10s to £7 7s Gd; smaller, £5 5s to £0 5s Mature dairy cattle were also in keen demand, and springers sold unusually well.
