ENTERTAINING ELEPHANT

Our benign and gentle old friend Mumfie, tho elephant>-hero of so many previous wanderings and adventures, once more entertains us with a new series of exploits in "Mumfie's Uncle Samuel." He has now entered the building trade. He decides that a newly-built house must be provided as a surprise for his parents, who have somehow got lost or gone astray.*As usual he is surrounded by a motley collection of fascinating companions, scarecrows, giants and—strange to relate —even human beings. Mumfie is such a favourite with children from seven to 11 that it is hardly necessary to say more than that his latest adventures are as engrossing as ever. "Mumfle's Uncle Samuel," by Katbertne Tozer. (Murray.)
