PAIfiS TOURNAMENT ANNUAL CENTRE TITLE GREY LYNN TEAM'S SUCCESS The Auckland Howling Centre's annual pairs championship was linsilised on the Carlton given yesterday, when the semi-finals ami linal were plavod. Victory went to the Grey Lynn Club representatives, .J. Higgiiison ami W. McMurcliy. The runners-np were l<\ Iv. Price and W. .). Short, of Pukekolie. The outer-suburban pair drew level at 17-all, but Grey Lynn commenced the linal head with a one-point advantage. Grey Lynn added another point iiird took the honours. In the seini-fiiial games, which were both one-sided, (ho prominent contenders <if tho previous day, 11. Wilson and A. I. Clarke, failed to produce their best form. Air. K. W. jndcr, president of the renlre, in presenting the prizes, complimented both teams on their performances and thanked tile chilis for the use of their greens.
