MUSEUM FUNCTION

Members of the council and staff of the War Memorial Museum were entertained by the president, Mr. C. R. Ford, and Mrs. Ford yesterday afternoon at an afternoon tea party held in honour of Captain G. HumphreysDavies, honorary curator of the Oriental collections, -who is leaving shortly for England. The museum was deeply indebted 1 to Captain Humphreys-Davies, said Mr. Ford, not only for his gifts of collections of Chinese art but also for the interest he had fostered in the decorative arts by exhibitions throughout the country. In reply Captain Humphreys-Davies expressed appreciation of the educational and scientific work of the museum.
