•iNEW SOUTH WALES MINES / AN OVERWHELMING VOTE REJECTION IN QUEENSLAND By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright (Heceived March 7, 10 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 7 The coalmine workers on the southern and ■> western coalfields of New South Wales have recorded an overwhelming majority vote in favour of a general strike. A report from Queensland states that the miners at Booval rejected the 6trike proposal by 599 votes to 76. The Premier of New South Wales, Mr. A. Mair, is being pressed to bring the parties together for a settlement, but he says the matter is entirely one for Federal intervention.
