VASTNESS OF EMPIRE
"IMPRESSIVE ILLUSTRATION" NEW ZEALAND CENTENNIAL [from our own correspondent] LONDON, Feb. 13 "There could scarcely be a more impressive illustration of the vastness of the British Empire and the scale of its resources than the fact that one of the Dominions, in the midst of its war efforts, is holding a mammoth exhibition illustrating its progress during a century of history," says the Sketch. "Had events nearer home not made so many demands on our attention, much greater interest would have been aroused in this country by the New Zealand Centennial Exhibition, which has ojjened to schedule. As it is, the decision of the New Zealand Government and the exhibition organisers to continue with their great project is a stimulating gesture, and everybody in Great Britain will wish the most distant Dominion outstanding success."
