BUILDING DECREASE

FEBRUARY TOTAL £37,369 INCREASE OVER TWO MONTHS The value of building permits issued by tho Auckland City Council last month totalled £37,369, compared with £66,127 in the corresponding month of last year and £~>9,070 in February, 1938. Last month's figures show a marked decrease on those for January of this year, when the value of permits totalled £126,507, including the now IZB radio station building. Permits issued last month totalled 118, including 23 dwellings, one small factory, and an addition to a factory. The value of permits issued, this year shows an increase of £29,711 on those for January and February of last year, and an increase of £67,426 oxer the first two months of 1938.
