DISTRIBUTION OF BOOKS
A meeting of the executive of the Mayoress' War Memorial Library League was held in the Town Hall yesterday morning and was presided over by Lady Davis. The date and details of the forthcoming annual meeting were arranged and the financial statement was received for presentation at the annual meeting. Many letters of thanks from recipients of books were read, including one from a bed-ridden returned soldier at Kerikeri, who had received hooks from the league for the past 20 years.
