DEVONPORT WEDDING

KITNEY—LEWIS MEMBER OF ACHILLES CREW Among a small group of special guests at the wedding last evening at Holy Trinity Church, Devonport, of Miss Beverley Lewis, youngest daughter of Air. and Mrs. E. Lewis, of Gisborne, and Leading-Steward Lesley Kitney, H.M.S. Achilles, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Kitney, Kent, England, were Captain W. E. Parry, C.8., H.M.S. Achilles, and Mrs. Parry. Captain Parry went direct from H.M.S. Achilles to the church and, at the reception which followed, proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom. The bridegroom is valet to Captain Parry aqd mention of the high regard in which the lower deck held their commanding officer was made in Mr. Kitney's reply to the toast. The bride wore a charming gown of rose pink lace cut on classical _ lines with a matching veil. She carried a bouquet of asters and dahlias. She was attended by Mrs. C. Tadman as matron of honour and the best man was Stoker Petty-Officer C. Tadman The reception was held at Hotel Ventnor, the bride's sister, Mrs. It. W. Young, receiving the guests.
