[Years ago they had been promised coordination of road, rail and shipping transport services, so that all might get their legitimate trade. Since then the road services had been eliminated and now it was a tight between the harbour boards and the' railways. The harbour hoards were seriously affected and might go out of existence if something jvere not clone. Mr. D. Holderness, of Auckland, said tilt, protests were useless. The remit war, useless in its existing form. Ho suggested the Minister should be asked to set up a body to investigate the problem. „ It was decided that Mr. Whimp and Mr. Holderness should reword the remit before anything further was done.
