The Opotiki Agricultural and PaSr toral ; Association's , Centennial Show,, was jmarred.j by heavy rain, 'which fell steadily throughout the day. The' attendance was, small in consequence, tlio ' gate takings being the lowest for many years. Many people did not take their exhibits to the ground, the pig section in particular suffering severely. However, competition in other classes was good,, particularly in tho ring ovents. Tlio centennial jump Was won by G. Tieggett. Championships woro awarded as follows!Thoroughbreds: Danlien Parkinson; mare, C. Gordon. Pedigreo Jorseys: Bull and cow. T. AV. Wnrdlaw, Waimann.
