INJURED BY FALLS

Concussion and head injuries were suffered by a waterside worker, Mr. Edward Duncan Emmerton, aged 40, of 92 Wellington Street, City, when he fell from his bicycle at the foot of Union Street at 5.30 last evening. He was taken to the Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance. A fall from a telegraph-pole while at work yesterday evening resulted in a telegraph linesman, Mr. David James Smales, aged 30, of 25 Haze - mere Road, Sardringham, being re * moved to hospital suffering from a fractured bone in the foot. -
