MIDGET LIFE-SAVERS
FIRST REAt RESCUE CASTLECLIFF BOYS' TEAM [BY TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] WANGANUI, Wednesday Castlecliff's midget life-savers a team of eight boys whose ages range from five to 10 years —have taken part in their first real rescue. When a bather suffering from cramp had to be given assistance a member of the Castlecliff surf section of the Royal Life Saving Society went 'out with a line and the midget life-savers did their part like a senior surf team by handling the line on shore.
The young life-savers gave a cool display, and in their first emergency forgot nothing of their tuition.
