RIFLE SHOOTING
EMPIRE COMPETITION! WON SUVA TEAM SUCCESSFUL [from our own correspondent] SUVA, Jan. 26 A team f-om the Fiji Shooting Club has won the 3 039 British Dominion Clubs' team competition with a score of 507 out of a possible of (500- Apart from the very fine total this team secured, additional interest in its performance is added by the fact that it is comprised of one European man, two Indians and three young European women. Each competitor was allowed ten shots, and the competition was fired on a 25 yards range hy teams of six. W. Wilder and his two daughters and A. G. Sahu Khan all secured possibles, while Miss E. Wilder and A. 11. Sahu Khan scored 99 and 98 respectively. In tho inter-colonial competition a team representing Fiji gained second place. There are several shooting clubs in the colony and, both with the miniaturo and .303 rifle, shooting attracts keen competition by men and women.
