METROPOLITAN GUN CLUB The Metropolitan Gun Club held a series of clay-target matches at Mangere. There was a fair attendance. The marksmanship was rather below the average. Results: — Five-target Eye-opener.—A. J. Hanigan and A. E. Robinson (10yds), each broke the possible and divided the stake. Fifteen-target Match for Air. A. L. Byrne's Trophy.—F. 11. Seccombo (10yds) won outright with 14 breaks. T. A. Smith (112 yds), 13, was second, and W. H. Wilson (14yds), 11, was third. first 111-Target Sweepstake.—F. H. Seccombe (16yds) and T. A. Smith (12yds) tied for first with nine breaks each. Second 10-Target Sweepstake.—T. A. Smith and R. G. Lindsay (16yds) each broke the possible and divided the stake. First Five-pair Double-rise (all off 14yds). —F. H. Seccombe, 8, 1; R. ;G. Lindsay, 7, 2. Second Five-pair Double-rise.—R. G. Lindsay. 10, 1; F. H. Seccombe, 6, 2. Third Double-rise.—R. G. Lindsay and A. E. Robinson tied with eight breaks each.
