THE PIONEERS
Sir, —I wish to put in a plea for old identities to see the Centennial Exhibition. Schoolchildren are being taken in groups from many places, but never a word about tho early pioneers. Surely they would be greatly interested to learn how New Zealand has grown and nourished.
Many of tlicm have only tho social security money to live on, therefore cannot afford trips, but if we did our duty, and honoured our old folk who are poor, we would see that health camps and sight-seeing trips were provided for them as well as for schoolchildren. 186-1.
