MINISTER WELCOMED

THE REV. H. d. LILBURNE The congregation of St. .Tames' Church, Wellington Street, tendered 8 welcome social last night to its newly inducted minister, the Rev. 7 ; H. J. Lilburne, and his wife and son, lat«-of Hamilton East. The chairman was the Very Rev. George Budd, and the speakers were the Rev. Gladstone Hughes, Moderator of Presbytery, the Rev. R. L. Walker, and the Rev. R. F. Fish, past ministers of the charge, the Rev. W. R. Milne, and the Rev. W. J. Conine. Items were presented by various artists during the evening, and the choir sang a number of sacred songs. Accompanists were Mr. S. Jackson and Mr. J. Robinson. During the evening Mrs. Lilburne was presented with s spray of flowers by the ladies of the congregation, and a cheque was giren to Mr. Budd in appreciation of i his services as interim moderator of the charge.
