Winds. —Between south and west prevailing, mainly light to moderate in force, but fresh in the far south. Seas. —New Zealand waters: Slight or moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate southerly winds and slight seas in the northern portion, freshening westerly to north-westerly winds and rising seas in the southern portion.
