He has startecte rather a different sort of chain-letter, calling on all recipients of it to -"jact with as much humanity and consideration for others as possible, to make a voluntary promise to do this, to send a sum of • money to the Red Cross, if they can afford it, and to wear a badge, in the form of a tiny bow or loop of green ribbon, so as to remind them of their promise. "Do not break the chain," .appeals the aviator from Denmark, but lie docs not say that breaking.it will bring bad luck. Recipients are asked to copy tno whole of the letter and to send tlio copies to as many, people as possible.
