PRESENTATIONS
A gold watch was presented by members of tho Auckland detective staff to Constable R. P. Boag, of New Lvnn, who recently retired from the force after 'l(s years' service, 11 of which were spent at Now Lynn. The presentation was made by Chief-Detective S. G. Hall, at the detective office. Both he and DetectiveSergeant J. Walsh referred to the pleasant relationships between Mr. Boag and members of tho detective stall". A presentation of a silver tea-and-cofl'ec service to Mr. W. Gooch, of Auckland, who is an auctioneer for Messrs. Alfred Buckland and Sons, Limited, took place at this week's stock sale at Pukokohe. Tlie gift, which was handed to Mr. Gooch by Mr. W. Kane, on b'ehalf of the recipient's many friends in tho Franklin district, was* a token of best wishes te Mr. Gooch and his hrid<\ whoso wedding took place recently.
