WOMAN'S BODY FOUND STRUCK BY PASSING TRAIN TWO DOGS ALSO KILLED [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] TIMARU, Monday The body of a single woman, Miss Aileen Hope Parker, aged 31, was found beside the railway line a short distance north of Caroline Bay early this morning. Severe injuries indicated that she had been struck by a passing train. Miss Parker went for a walk on Sunday evening, accompanied by two dogs. When she did not return a search was made unsuccessfully. The bodies of the dogs were found near that of the woman. TERRIBLE INJURIES YOUNG MARRIED WOMAN [by tet/ecraph—press association] WAIMATE, Monday When he went to extinguish the lights after the Invercargill-Christ-church express left Studholme Junction at 3.35 this morning, the station clerk, Mr. B. L. Hathaway, found the remains of a woman scattered for 105 yards along the line. The express was two minutes at Studholme Junction, and nobody left or joined the train. The police subsequently found the woman to be Mrs. Betty Forrest, aged 21, of lnvercargill. She had been married six weeks.
