FLOWER SHOWS

Tlio seventh annual horticultural show of the Otalnilui Technical High School was held this week. Mr. C. K. Petrie, M.P., in declaring the show open, said he was very pleased to see the pupils continuing to interest themselves 111 horticulture. In congratulating the pupils 011 their display Mr. Petrio said the exhibits were of interest to the public, as avoll as to the pupils. The annual summer flower show of the Howick Horticultural and Beautifying Society was held in the Town Hall. The show was well supported, entries in all classes maintaining the standard of previous years. The rbse entry was particularly good.
