OBITUARY
MRS. C. E. BULLEN The cieatli occurred yesterday of Mrs. Charlotte Elizabeth Bullen, "aged 81, at the residence of her daughter, 99 Landscape Road, Mount Eden. Born in Cork, Ireland, Mrs. Bullen. as a young girl, went to live in New Jersey, where she completed her education. She later returned to Ireland and after her marriage she lived for a time in London. With her husband she came to New Zealand about Go years ago in the sailing ship Michael Angelo and settled in Nelson, where Mr. Bullen became headmaster of a Church of England school. Later Mr. Bullen took up farming in Canterbury and subsequently moved to other parts of New Zealand. Mrs. Bullen came to Auckland about 50 years ago, after living at Hokitika, Ashburton, Kamo and Thames, her later years being spent at Beachlands. Mr. Bullen died 35 years ago. Mrs. Bullen is survived by one daughter and six sous. There are 21 grandchildren and nine great-children.
