[BY TELEGRAPH- —PRESS ASSOCIATION'] NEW PLYMOUTH, Tuesday

Three years' probation for forgery, uttering and theft was ordered for James Edward Conrad, aged 19, by Mr. Justice Smith in the Supreme Court to-day. Conrad was on probation when the offence occurred. It was obvious he had a criminal tendency, _ said the Judge, but he would give him another chance on strict probation.
