DEFENCE CLUB'S CONTESTS Auckland Club.—The Auckland Club mado a departure from the usual routine last Saturday when a .'wven-man teams' match was staged, the teamsmen being selected according to age. Clevedon Club.—The challenge round for the Clevedon Business Houses' junior shield was fired on the Clevedon range between junior teams representing Ihe Papakura and Clevedon Rifle Clubs. The ranges ilsed were 300 yds and 500 yds. The shield was won by Clevedon with a total of 703 points to Papakura's 772. Details of the Clevedon scores were:—D. Renall, 48, 1!)—|)7; C.
