Bass—Hawes.—Mrs. F. Hawes announces the. engagement of her niece Evelyn (Babs) Hawes, of Takapuna, elder daughter of Airs. W. Mateham, of London, England, to Frederick Norman, second , son of Mrs. M. Bass, of Devon port, and the late Mr. F. C. Bass.
Bowling—Nott.—The engagement is announced between Pilot-Officer Francis Gerald Bowling, second son of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Bowling, of Wellington, and Muriel Gwendoline Nott, only child of Mr. and Mrs. S. P. Nott, of Addiscombe, wrote our London correspondent on October 13.
McLean—Heron.—The engagement- is announced between Neil Frederick, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. S. McLean, of Te Kawa, and Emily May, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Heron, of Te Rau-a-moa.
Murray—Lee.—The engagement is announced between Flying-Officer J. D. W. Murray, only son of the late Mr. J. R. Murray and Mrs. Murrav, of Oamaru, and Sheila Markham Lee, younger daughter of Dr." and Mrs. E. Markham Lee, of Woodford Green, Essex, wrote our London correspondent on October 13.
