Monday The Whangarei Cruising C.ub opened the season last week-end with events for the various cfasses of sailing craft, ir tho A class rare to Taurikura. Waialae was the first boat in. followed by Melita, Njare, sceptre. Scud Macushla and Cha'fm. In the nice for Star class boats over the Oncrahi course, Tiki (J M. Stewart) finished lirtt, and on corrected time had a win of 7% minutes. The next boat to finish was Tainni, followed by Oreti, but on corrected time the placings were r<s versed.
