ALLEGED BAG-SNATCHING TWO INCIDENTS IN CITY POLICE GRANTED REMAND Two charges relating to alleged bag snatching incidents in the city were preferred against a half-caste Maori, Charles Howard, labourer, aged 24, when he appeared before Mr. 0. R. Orr Walker, S.M., in the Police Court yesterday. Accused was charged with stealing from the person of Alice Kelsey on October 24 a lady's bag containing £9 in money, two handkerchiefs and two keys,' of a total value of £lO Is. He was also charged with stealing from the person of Dora Jane Stade on October 29 a lady's handbag containing £1 Ids. ' On the application of Detective-Ser-geant McHugh a remand until November |6 was granted, by the magistrate.
