BAG SNATCHED

INCIDENT IN DOMAIN WOMAN SUDDENLY ACCOSTED MAN CAUGHT AFTER CHASE Suddenly accosting a middle-aged woman in Domain Drive about 4.30 yesterday afternoon, a young man snatched lier handbag and attempted to wrest it from her. A struggle ensued in which the woman fell over and eventually the man secured the bag and ran away.

During the struggle the bag opened' and about £4 in money fell out. This was subsequently recovered. Hearing the woman's screams, several people in the vicinity chased a man who was seen running through the trees in the Domain. He was caught within a short distance and was subsequently handed over to the police. He will be charged in the Police Court this morning.
