ALL-STATES CRICKET
SUGGESTIONS IN AUSTRALIA Concrete proposals for an All-Stales cricket competition have been presented by the Western Australian Criekot Association, states an Australian writer. It is proposed that tho competition be contested by the first elevens of Tasmania and West Australia, and the second elevens of the Shield Stales. For years there has been talk of such a. competition. The Perth officials have worked out details, but the success of the scheme depends on the support of the senior State associations. It is suggested that Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania should play in Sydney and the other three States in Melbourne. LI would be a one-round affair and the sectional winners would meet in a final at Melbourne. The scheme is likely to receive serious consideration, even although it may be amended in detail.
