QHORTHAND, Typewriting, etc.—Selwyn O College. Safe Deposit Bldgs.. High StSTUD NOTICES rpo STAND SEASON 1 AT BLACKBURN ST., FRANKTON JUNCTION. IJpf RACEFUL (24). TvOs' Breeders: NOTE THIS: IDEAL PEDIGREE. In an argument the other day the merits of-New Zealandbred sires came up for discussion. Nightmarch was slated as the ideal remount type. Nightly as a specimen of the masculine stallion and Inflation, Croupier and others, camo in for praise. However, when it ca nio to the pure question of pedigroe, the Martian ■ horso Raceful was quoted as being the ideal. Wo all know how successful Martanna has been in transmitting the Martian qualities, and there is no question about Martian as our greatest. But Raceful'3 dam was All Bed's sister Rose Red, and she was by Nordenfeldt's son Stcpuiak, bringing in the most powerful staying strain of the Musket line. Rose Red's dam was by Galopin's good "son Gossoon, and her tree goes back to mighty Chester. • However, deeds alone tell, but it is safe to say that New Zealand-bred sires deserve the patronage of owners of good mares. It would bo impossible to find a stonter pedigree than that of Raceful. RACEFUL'S FEE, 15. GUINEAS. Paddocking o/. Mares met at Frankton Station. 11. R. CARSON. Blackburn Street, Frankton Junction.
