CHILD MEDIUM
There are not many novelists who tackle the subject of spiritualism liko Miss G. E. Trevelyan in "Trance by Appointment." It is generally supposed that some people make better mediums tnan others because they are reputed to be more responsive to tho spirits, and in this novel this belief is developed to the full. The heroine as a child reveals powers, and is exploited or trained to give her revelations in trances by appointment. With a novel of Ibis type it is' only essential to give the theme —tho prospective reader must take this and the plot 011 trust. "Trance by Appointment," by G. E. Trevelyan (Harrap).
