SOUTH AMERICAN MEAT LARGE BRITISH PURCHASES BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 3S Britain has purchased 170,000 tons of Argentine beef, and 30,000 tons of mutton. A messages from Montevideo says the Commerce Ministry announced that an agreement for the British purchase of 8000 tons of Uruguayan beef and 5000 tons of mutton will bo concluded to-day.
