Winds.—Some local north-westerlies, especially east of the ranges; otherwise moderate to strong westerly to southwesterly predominating. Seas.—New Zealand waters: Rough on the west coast and about C'nok and Foveatix Straits; moderate elsewhere, but rising somewhat south of East Cape." Eastern Tasman Sea: Winds from a •westerly quarter; moderate in the north, ■with moderate seas; strong to gale force in the south, with rough seas. Weather.—Changeable .and rather Kqimlly, with showers at times in most districts, but chiefly in those with a westerly aspect and in the far south. Temperatures moderate to cool.
