COLLECTION OF RATES

ONE TREE HILL BOROUGH The percentage of current municipal rates paid in One Tree Hill to September 30 showed an improvement on last rear's figures, which were a record, reported the clerk. Mr. A. Leesc, to the borough council last night. A total of 63.S per cent was collected. Rate arrears had come in particularly well. Arrears outstanding on September 30 amounted to only £1585. '

Cash receipts for the half-year from all sources totalled £30,627 and gross payments amounted to £24.388. The figures for the corresponding half of last year were £29,035 and £23.Soft. The net balance of all revenue accounts amounted to £9870, an improvement of £oSS nn the position at September 30. 1938.
