VALUABLE DOG

A fox terrier dog, for which £IOO was paid in Melbourne after it had won a Royal Show award, in spite of its ungroomed condition, was one of the pets consigned to San Francisco by the Monterey, which visited Auckland yesterday. Its owner was Mr. G. S. Thomas, of Los Angeles, who lias an international reputation as a judge of dogs, and who recently visited Australia especially to act as a judge at the. show. The dog was entered among 139 other fox terriers by a man who was astonished when it won the prize and ho was offered £IOO for it*
