(Received October IG, 5.5 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 15 The leader, Mr. John Lewis, has removed Harry Bridges from his position as West Coast director of the Committee for Industrial Organisation and has appointed him regional director for California. He denies that the change is a concession to anti-Communist criticism of Bridges, and says it is part of a national reorganisation of the administration to permit of moro in tensive organisation. Mr. Lewis added: "Wo have bcten spreading Bridges too far."
