SON OF MAYOR OF WAIROA AIR FORCE ACCIDENT []?Y TKLKGH.U'H OWN CORHESrONDKNT] GISBORNE, Friday News has been received of the death while serving with the Koval Air Force in England of Pilot-Officer Brian Harkor, son of the Mayor of Wairoa, Mr. H. L. Marker. Details as to how Pilot-Officer Marker met his death are not available. The news was conveyed to Mr. Marker in a cablegram from the air authorities in England, which stated that his son had been .killed in an aircraft accident.

Pilot-Officer Marker was 21 years of age and left for- England nearly two years ago to take up a short service commission with the Royal Air Force. Me was educated at St. Patrick's College, Silvcrstroam, and before leaving for England was a member of the office stair of Swifts (New Zealand) Company, Limited. Wairoa.
